Job Summary

Leading the technical development of:

  1. New process or process innovation & improvement
  2.  New product including product modification, packaging material, ingredient and relevant, either local or import following the requirements of BU, Government, commercial or customers
  3. Leading quality assurance activities in packaging materials to make sure comply with requirements: evaluation, issue protocol, support plant and cross functional to solving issues. Propose Innovation and apply optimization of new packaging technology across 3 plants 

Responsible for contact/coordinate with relevant parties to ensure project timeline, technical requirements, monitor, evaluate and help improving the quality performance of product, materials used for products; ensure continuous improvement through compliance all current management system.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Leading the project of the technical development for a new/ innovation/improvement of process and products

  • Create the project timeline, follow up the compliance with project timeline, coordinate to solve the issues having impact on the timeline.
  • Prepare complex calculations, specifications, BOM and other technical documentations so that prototype designs can be manufactured, including risk assessment
  • Coordinate with other sections to develop the new products that are suitable with the current process, equipment capability of production line
  • Coordinate with other sections to solve the problem related to new product development/innovation
  • Coordinate to do trial run, test run, commercial run of new product/ new material/new process and follow up for post evaluation.
  • Set up or ensure the set up at plants for the quality management and control for new products. Evaluate the performance of the 1st production for each product.

2.    Leading the project of packaging for all matters of quality

  • Prepare specifications, BOM and other technical requirements so that prototype designs can be manufactured.
  • Create trial protocol and ensure the clear communication to plants
  • Evaluation trial report and confirm for result of trial & min run. Coordinator with OE and related departments to make a successful trial/min run
  • Coordinator with procurement to backup supplier by develop or involve in new supplier development

3.    Monitor, evaluate and help improving the performance of ingredients, materials, packaging used for our products:

  • Coordinate with Plants to work with supplier or related department to solve ingredients, raw & packaging materials Quality Incidents
  • Monitor the performance of ingredients, raw & packaging materials supplier and have action to improve.
  • Conduct supplier accreditation audits
  • Best practice, learn and lesson sharing to plants

4.    Risk elimination:

  • Faciliate for problem solving, RCA together with Plants and relevant team to eliminate the risk from end to end of products, process, packaging and prevent the waste to company
  • Develop and standadize processes to improve compliance, aligment, speed and quality
  • Involve in process problem solving in plants

5.    Compliance in Documentation and Reporting

  • Ensure all required documents at Country level or Plant level refer to new products, raw materials, packaging materials are available and comply for any audit. 
  • Standardize, build up and update documents of specification included drawing, spec sheets, test methods, storage conditions, ...
  • Report on time for relevant parties to ensure progress, compliance, performance
  • Create and ensure compliance of barcode system and date code system

6.    Develop and maintain technical expertise on advances and innovations in research and science
    Benchmark, develop and apply the advances and innovations from Global technical to improve the technical expertise

Requirements

  • At least 5 -year experience in R&D field and materials (raw and packaging) in multinational FMCG companies at the same level
  • Experience in project management will be preferred.
  • Background in Lean Thinking
  • Experience at position of Supply Chain: QA, Manufacturing, Packaging working environment
  • Good knowledge and experience in QMS, HACCP, GMPs, ISO, FSSC 22000, OHS…
  • Experience of working with vendors, customer and consumer

  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office, MO- access is preferable, Business system (SAP,..)
  • Experience Supply Chain roles such as QA, Manufacturing, Packaging in the beverage/food.
