As an Area Sales Manager, you will lead the sales team across your assigned territory to deliver sales targets, maximize sales volume, and drive Sales Force Effectiveness KPIs through excellent market execution.
This role is based in the HCMC Sales Region and requires high mobility to relocate based on business needs - including a first-year assignment in the North West area before returning to HCMC.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Development (30%)
• Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and customers.
• Manage the implementation of Trade Marketing and Route-to-Market (RTM) plans to achieve company KPIs within the assigned territory.
• Manage distributor performance and outlet coverage across the assigned territory.
2. Order Generation (20%)
• Deliver agreed sales targets within the assigned territory.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Monitor sales volume performance and identify growth opportunities.
3. People Development (20%)
• Participate in the recruitment process for sales team
• Train, coach, and develop the sales team to drive high performance.
• Maintain team discipline and ensure compliance with company standards.
4. Asset & Routine Management (10%)
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly sales meetings.
• Review and optimize asset productivity across the territory.
• Ensure effective management and utilization of company assets within the assigned territory.
5. Third party & financial management (20%)
• Collaborate with distributors and relevant stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor and manage distributor performance, including profit and loss performance.
Requirements
We're looking for mid-career talents who have:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG sales leadership, preferably in the beverage sector.
- Proven experience in distributor and channel management.
- Hands-on experience in Route-to-Market (RTM) execution and optimization.
- Experience leading, supervising, and coaching frontline sales teams.
- Strong negotiation skills with key customers and the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including conversational English.
- Experience in business planning, KPI management, and performance tracking.
- High mobility to travel and relocate across different sales regions as business needs require.
